John Holt, Builder was established in 1984 in Dallas, Texas by providing small high quality renovations followed by entire home renovations in prestigious Dallas neighborhoods. A new office with eight full-time carpenters was developed and Holt Builder's expanded into the custom new home construction.

John's reputation for innovative ideas and quality construction elevated his reputation. Through tremendous consideration to return to his family roots in Central Illinois, John and his wife Jann relocated to the Bloomington-Normal market in 1992 and continued with his high quality construction of new homes. The Bloomington-Normal market quickly recognized the high standard of his work and John's keen eye for detail has also given him recognition as one of the finest custom home construction and renovations builders in Central Illinois.

John has partnered throughout his career with his wife Jann. She has played an active role that truly complements her partner.
